We are one of the largest employers in Tendring, and we want to build our relationship within the local community alongside our social impact committee that organises outreach programmes. We feel that the Essex Chamber of Commerce will be an important source of information for us, helping us to connect locally and internationally.
I have been a member of the Essex Chambers of Commerce for 2 years and love the fact I have met an array of like minded people in business while attending various networking, training events and 1:1 meetings with services providers. ECC has provided me a platform to act as a training partner introducing International Standards for members and beyond.
The highly organised networking events and exhibitions enable us to dip in and out of what’s going on around the county. It’s invaluable as a ‘sounding board’ for what is affecting other local businesses and the practical business support is useful and welcome.

Working with Essex Chamber of Commerce has been beneficial for our business, this is a combination of the Chambers support and Nixon Hires consistent engagement, this is aided by the Chambers Client relationship manager - Nick Brown.
Our main project connection with the Chamber is Lower Thames Crossing, where the Chamber and Nicks help have been invaluable. From introductions to associated Chamber of Commerce members, valuable insight on future and pending geographical projects and investment, as well as additional site opportunities for expansion consideration.
Through Nick and the Chamber, our CEO Brian Cornett was invited to a round table dinner earlier this year, which gave him real insight into future activity and opportunities across Essex. The Chamber was also supportive of our demo day, where we showcased our sleeper unit combined with our solar hybrid generation units, bringing key clients along to view the units, which has since led to new opportunities for the business.
Overall, the engagement with the Chamber has been excellent. Their response and proactiveness in helping us has been first class, and I would highly recommend them.
