LSIP

Essex Chambers of Commerce is proud to lead the Greater Essex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) 2026–2029 on behalf of Skills England, championing a truly employer-led approach to shaping the future skills landscape across Greater Essex.

Working in partnership with employers, education and training providers, local authorities, sector bodies and wider stakeholders, we have developed a shared vision for a skills system that is responsive, ambitious and aligned to the needs of our economy. Together, we are ensuring that skills provision reflects both current workforce demands and the opportunities emerging from future growth.

The Greater Essex LSIP 2026–2029 builds on strong foundations and places collaboration at its heart. By bringing businesses and educators closer together, we are creating clearer pathways into employment, addressing critical skills shortages, strengthening productivity and supporting inclusive economic growth across Essex, Southend and Thurrock.

This is a collective commitment to developing the talent our region needs to thrive. Through shared leadership, innovation and partnership, we are helping learners gain the skills, confidence and opportunities to succeed, while enabling employers to access, develop and retain the workforce that will drive Greater Essex forward.
