Cllr Dan Swords has been the Leader of Harlow Council since May 2023. Since becoming Leader, he has led the transformation of Harlow Council resulting in the council being shortlisted for ‘Most Improved Council in England 2024’. He previously held the posts of Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Planning. He has led the regeneration and investment programme for the town which has seen hundreds of millions secured for the town centre regeneration and has put Harlow on the map as the fastest growing area in Britain.
