Violence at Work;

The Home Office are shortly to release a ‘call for evidence’ in relation to violence within businesses (particularly retail).  
The sentencing guidelines around assaults will be reviewed with a particular focus on those assaulted whilst at work.  
The Ministry of Justice will start this work in the summer.  
 
Definition of Business Crime;
The Home Office/ National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) national definition that has been in place since 2013 is to change from:

Any criminal offence that is committed against a property or person that is motivated by a connection of that person or property to a business

To;
Any criminal offence where a business, or person in the course of their employment, is the victim
