Trenitalia-owned train operator c2c is making several alterations to its December timetable, including adding several trains during peak times and strengthening services on the Ockendon line on Saturdays.

The train times will change from Sunday 11 December and the key changes are as follows:

Mondays to Fridays:

  • 07:18 Shoeburyness to Fenchurch Street – this is a faster service to London and will no longer call at Leigh-on-Sea, Benfleet, Pitsea, Laindon and Limehouse.
  • 07:29 Thorpe Bay to Fenchurch Street – this is an additional service and calls at all stations except West Horndon and Barking.
  • 18:30 Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness – this is also an additional service and calls at all stations except Barking, West Horndon and Pitsea.

Saturdays:

  • Most Ockendon line services will be strengthened from 4-cars to 8-cars due to increased customer demand.

c2c MD Rob Mullen said: “Our new December timetable broadly maintains current service levels across the c2c route but having listened to our customers, we have added two new peak trains as well as giving those on the Ockendon line more service availability on Saturdays.

“We continue to monitor customer levels and we will strengthen our services wherever we are able.”
