Brexit & Data Protection - Where are we now and what should I be worried about?

Tuesday 15th September 2020
10:00am - 11:30am

On the 1st January 2021 the United Kingdom is set to have left the European Union fully as the ‘transition period’ comes to end. There are a number of areas that this impact, one of which is the Personal Data to send to or get from the European Union. If you offer goods and services into the EU, monitor EU citizens or even use any ‘cloud’ based technology then Brexit is likely to have an effect on the Personal Data you process. In this online interactive session, we will explore what your Data Protection obligations look like post Brexit and what areas you will need to keep a close eye on as we get closer to the 1st January 2021.

By the end of this session you will have an understanding of;
  • UK GDPR and its obligations post 1st January 2021
  • Practical advice for scoping if the changes affect your organisation
  • Requirements for transferring data from the EU to the UK
