A huge congratulations to our CEO, Denise Rossiter, Operations Director, Lisa Collins, and Events Co-Ordinator, Julie Arthur for their bravery in completing a terrifying skydive to raise funds and awareness of our nominated charity of the year, Mid & North East Essex Mind.

The jump aptly took place during Mental Health Awareness week. The inspirational trio overcame severe personal fears and anxieties to courageously take on this incredible feat. The aim of the challenge was to raise money and awareness for our nominated charity of the year, Mid & North East Essex Mind. The work this organisation does in the north of our county is vital to those struggling with their mental health.

Over the past year we have supported Mid & North East Essex Mind with a number of activities, including a Christmas Raffle, featuring them as the official Festival of Business charity and raising money through our networking events. It’s been a privilege to support them the last 12 months and as their time as our nominated charity of the year comes to an end, we felt it only appropriate to mark this by doing something spectacular.

So far, the ladies have raised nearly £4,000 for the skydive. We’re excited to reveal the grand total in the coming weeks. The support we have received from the Essex business community has been phenomenal and we thank everyone for their overwhelming generosity.

If you would like to show your support, our JustGiving page will remain open until Friday 23 May.

The whole Essex Chambers team couldn’t be prouder of Denise, Lisa and Julie for their unwavering dedication and strength. They all took on this challenge with determined smiles and a ‘bring it on’ attitude.

After the skydive, Denise Rossiter commented, saying:

“I have never done anything like this in my entire life. The experience has been like nothing else and on a personal level, I will keep this achievement with me for a very long time.

“I know the importance of supporting charities like Mid & North East Essex Mind and feel privileged to have been able to take on this exhilarating challenge in order to fundraise and spread awareness of their important work in the community.

“Thank you to Lisa and Julie for joining me in this daring feat. I couldn’t have done it without you girls!”
