A long-standing highlight of the Essex Chamber events calendar, our Annual Golf Day returned in triumph for its sixth year. This time in an exciting new location, we were delighted to bring this popular event to the impressive course at Canons Brook Golf Club in Harlow.

Players took to the club house and course for a memorable day filled with networking and friendly competition on one of the county’s finest courses.

It was a pleasure to showcase the fantastic grounds of our members, Canons Brook. Attendees had a great time taking on the challenges of the established course designed by legendary professional golfer, Sir Henry Cotton over 60 years ago.

We can’t thank the team at Canons Brook enough for their outstanding hospitality and support in making this day a resounding success.

It was great to be joined by our Main Sponsor’s Renault Retail Group UK who had a brilliant display of vehicles positioned outside of the clubhouse, a real talking point among attendees.

Before teeing off, guests enjoyed freshly cooked breakfast rolls to fuel them for the day ahead. The weather was perfect for a day on the green. While it could’ve been a tad cooler, everyone had a wonderful time competing and connecting in the sunshine.

After play finished, everyone gathered back at the club house for a well-earned and delicious BBQ. There was a fantastic atmosphere as everyone tucked into hearty burgers and reflected on their game play.
Then the moment everyone had been waiting for, the Awards Presentation!

Our CEO, Denise Rossiter, was delighted to present the winners of the day’s competitions. One lucky player, Andrew Collett from the Beresfords team, not only claimed the prize for Longest Drive but also for Nearest the Pin! An impressive feat to say the least.

While no one claimed the £10,000 cash prize for a hole in one, the prize sponsors team Dupliq, were our Runners Up. The title of Winning Team was claimed, for the second time, by European Refrigeration Ltd and Rod Williams from KGK Genix was crowned Overall Individual Winner.

Congratulations to our winners and commiserations to the rest of our fantastic players!

Reflecting on the day, Denise commented:

“Thank you to the tremendous team at Canons Brook, to our generous event sponsors and to all our players for making this day a great success.

“Our Golf Day is a staple event for the Chambers. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring our business community together to build strong connections through camaraderie and fun game play.”

We’re already looking forward to next year’s event!

Don’t forget our flagship event, the Festival of Business, is returning to Chelmsford City Racecourse on Wednesday 5 November. Visit our website or contact our Events Team for more information.
