It is our pleasure to announce that we will be working with our valued members, SNAP Charity, as our next nominated charity of the year. They will be joining a long line of esteemed charities we have had the privilege of supporting over the years, and we look forward to seeing what the next 12 months will bring as we champion this incredible organisation across our network.
By being officially selected as our nominated charity of the year, SNAP will have increased opportunities to engage with our diverse business community, raise awareness of the fantastic work they do, and benefit from a whole Chambers team approach to fundraising.
SNAP offers services across Essex to help families whose children have additional needs or disabilities. Established in 1994, the organisation has supported more than 8,000 families throughout its 32 years of operation. Created by parents, SNAP began as a mother and toddler group before growing into the county-wide service it provides today.
The charity’s award-winning offering aligns closely with the Essex Chambers’ commitment to supporting our members. SNAP supports, nurtures, and partners with parents who may be feeling isolated or facing challenges with a child or young person whose additional needs are not being met.
The Essex Chambers of Commerce is here to offer a similar sense of connection and support to the Essex business community. SNAP creates a safe environment and support network for families to connect with each other, much like our own thriving business network. It is these shared values and our deep respect for the work SNAP does that led us to choosing them as this year’s nominated charity.
