Essex Chambers of Commerce are pleased to announce the launch of their new Dangerous Goods Service to be run in partnership with Logicom Hub.
Logicom Hub will integrate their wide range of services, including certified training, as part of the Chamber membership benefits offering meaning that all Essex Chamber members will now have access to exclusive rates on training and services. In addition, Logicom Hub will be on hand to offer support and guidance.
Jane Rose, Head of International Trade at the Essex Chambers, said “We are launching this new service in partnership with Logicom Hub in direct response to requests from our members and exporters. We have previously provided training to businesses on the movement of dangerous goods and this new service takes the support we can offer in this important area to a new level. ”
Founder and Director of Logicom Hub, Sam Stretton added “There have been several high profile court cases and fines recently regarding the transport of dangerous goods where shipper and forwarder negligence have had major repercussions across all modes of transport. Moving undeclared or badly packaged dangerous goods puts everyone at risk in the transportation chain.”
“I cannot stress enough the importance of any employee involved in packing, loading, documentation and shipping goods internationally in having an understanding of what dangerous goods are. Even if you are not shipping dangerous goods, the recognition of dangerous articles and substances, even in small measures is the biggest part of the battle. Once identified is it then easy to manage our responsibility regarding the transportation. After all, we all have a role to play in protecting people, property and the environment.”
Sam has worked in the Logistics Industry for over 20 years with a background that crosses from Commercial Business Sales & Development through to Operations Management before launching Logicom Hub whose focus is all about helping customers.
